One of Sonoma County's Oldest Victorian Homes and a Favorite of Visitors searching for an Authentic Wine Country Experience
~ The Napa & Sonoma Book |

The Raford Inn near Healdsburg
is located in the Russian River Wine Region just a half mile
from the Russian River and 15 minutes Southwest of the Healdsburg
Square. Gently perched above the valley on four acres, graced with majestic palms, this country bed and breakfast overlooks
vineyards and cropland ringed by redwood-forested mountains.
Lovingly preserved, there are six comfortably elegant guest
rooms; all featuring private baths, queen or king beds, and a full, hot, gourmet country
breakfast served every morning. |
•History
Built in 1880, this three-story estate manor house is an officially-designated historic landmark. The authentic Victorian-era plantation style architecture still remains, including the original Queen Anne accents. Hops pioneer Raford Peterson’s family lived here and worked the land for 100 years before it was sold, refurbished to modern codes and converted into an Inn. The original 1,320 acre property was once mainly planted with hops. Now vineyards prevail and the remaining four acres are a protected sanctuary for a house that is not merely a place to shelter travelers, but is also a home where the spirit of congenial country hospitality lives on. For more than 30 years, the Raford Inn has provided B&B guests a comfortably elegant stay in Sonoma County Russian River Valley wine country without the busy feel of downtown Healdsburg. Come... enjoy the enclosed sunroom and wrap-around veranda. Gaze through the towering palm trees across the grape vines and step back into a time that has not quite yet gone by. |

• The Innkeepers
Dane Pitcher and Rita Wells welcome you
to a relaxing stay in the Healdsburg countryside. Long-time
residents of Sonoma County, Dane now farms Raford's estate vineyard and makes award winning Russian River Valley wine. Rita has a thriving practice as a hypnotherapist and wellness counselor. It is hard to
miss Dane's jovial smile in the evenings and Rita's special
flare at breakfast. In 2004, they realized a 13-year dream
of becoming innkeepers, when they purchased The Raford Inn.
“Farther from the modern world than the eye can see, yet only fifteen minutes from everywhere, we of the Raford Inn invite you to experience a warm and memorable visit to a time and place that has not quite yet gone by . . .”
